‘From Black’ Trailer: Anna Camp Courts Evil To See Her Son Again In New Shudder Horror

Anna Camp is mainly known for her comedic work, really shining as part of the Pitch Perfect franchise. She jumps into horror with the new Shudder film, From Black, which finds her as a mother who will do anything to see her son again.

As seen in the trailer, Camp plays a mother stricken with guilt following the disappearance of her son five years prior. With nothing left to lose, she agrees to take part in a ritual that will finally let her see her son again and find out the truth. Of course, this is a terrible decision. Horror movies are built on bad choices, after all.

The film is directed and co-written by Thomas Marchese, with Jennifer Lafleur, John Ales, Travis Hammer, and Richie Montgomery co-starring.

From Black hits Shudder and AMC+ on April 28th.

A young mother, crushed by guilt after the disappearance of her young son 5 years previously, is presented with a bizarre offer to learn the truth and set things right. But how far is she willing to go, and is she willing to pay the terrifying price for a chance to hold her boy again?
